This is so sad. There is the love of his life, reduced to a four year old, and he cant cope well. Rez is trying to cheer him up by telling him that although she cant remember their relationship, she still remembers and feels the emotion between them. Her state is only temporary, after all. Tantrum wants to care for her, but he's sorrowed about it, because its kind of his fault she's all like that. But, they will prevail, Deamon and child-likeness, and all that! (I will definatly post the two chapters about this soon!!!)

Just a note on the cigs- Tantrum smokes a brand of cigs called “blue collar”. They are laced with a dose of ketamine, and have sparkling blue filters. They give you a better feeling then nicotine would, for sure!
